Qatar Airways is busy preparing for an Indian expansion with its second route launch of the year with its latest Indian gateway being added from 15-Jun-08. The southern coastal city of Kozhikode, formerly known as Calicut, will be Qatar Airways’ 83rd route with daily non-stop scheduled flights from Doha. It also heralds further expansion into Kerala State for Qatar Airways, which already operates to Cochin and Trivandrum. Kozhikode will be Qatar Airways’ ninth destination in India.
The new route follows the successful launch of flights between Doha and the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou in Mar-08.
Qatar Airways offers connections for passengers from Europe, Middle East and Africa to India. The airline currently operates a fleet of 62 Airbus and Boeing aircraft to 82 destinations worldwide.
