Rajiv Gandhi Airport plans to revise aeroexpress bus fares
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is planning to revise the aeroexpress bus fares from 21-Jul-08. The steep increase in the diesel prices and other operating costs has necessitated the increase in fares.

The initial fare of Rs 95 each way from all locations inclusive of all taxes & luggage charges is being revised as follows:

Rs 150 per head each way from three locations – Keyes High School (Secunderabad), Paryatak Bhavan (Begumpet) and HiTec City.
Rs 120 per head each way from two locations – Mehdipatanam and City College (Charminar).

The increased fare translates to less than Rs. 5 per head per km, which compares favourably with other modes of transport such as Auto Rickshaws, Pre-paid cabs, etc. and provides the comfort of air-conditioning and comes with security, reliability and luggage carrying facility.

There are over 35 dedicated Aeroexpress buses ferrying over 3500 passengers to and from the airport from the designated five locations in the city per day. GHIAL has been operating these buses round the clock for the convenience of the passengers and had provided the service even during various strikes and bandhs despite it not being a profit making activity.
