SriLankan Airlines upgrades service for Chinese passengers
SriLankan Airlines is now providing passengers with Chinese Language Assistant on board each flight. Captain Milinda Ratnayake, Head of Service Delivery, said: “At SriLankan, we are constantly looking for ways and means to further enhance the level of convenience and comfort of our passengers.

The introduction of Chinese Passenger Assistants will greatly assist our Chinese passengers, many of whom are not fluent in English.”

SriLankan flies thrice weekly to Beijing from Colombo, via Bangkok, on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. The airline has recruited several Chinese Passenger Assistants, all of whom have prior experience in the travel industry. In addition to flying from Beijing to Bangkok and Colombo, they will be on hand to help out passengers at Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport, including passengers in transit.

Rashmore Ferdinands, Manager Inflight Service Delivery, said: “We have provided them training at our in-house facilities in Katunayake, to enhance the skills they will require to assist our valued passengers.”
