Airports allowed to decide on ATF suppliers
Airports Authority of India (AAI) announced it would allow private airport operators to award tenders for the provision of ATF fuel.

Currently, AAI is the sole company able to award tenders for ATF. Following the decision, it is reported Reliance Industries is planning to commence ATF operations at Hyderabad and Bangalore airports, and is expected to establish facilities at Chennai and Kolkata. Reliance Industries recently filed an unsuccessful challenge in the Delhi Supreme Court, challenging the Delhi High Court verdict upholding the government's decision to allot modernisation works of Delhi and Mumbai airports to rival bidders, the GMR and GVK-led consortia.
