Air Sahara took delivery (10 March) a B737-400 the first of five additional B737 aircraft the carrier is adding to its domestic fleet over the next three months.
A final decision on the acquisition of widebody aircraft for long-haul international operations would also be announced soon. Air Sahara meanwhile stated it is hopeful of obtaining five extra weekly service rights to London Gatwick by winter, in addition to two weekly frequencies the carrier aims to launch by July 2005. The carrier has also launched a new livery, with the national colours of orange, green, white and blue, in preparation for the launch of additional international services. |
