The B737-200s will be converted after Alliance Air takes delivery of new leased A319 aircraft during the Winter schedule of 2005. Destinations include Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Meanwhile, a Civil Aviation Ministry official stated a separate company may be established in the future to handle Indian Airlines proposed cargo business. The automation process will be introduced at Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad initially, while seven more cities, including Bangalore and Chennai, will be added at later stage, before all 53 stations are brought online. |
