Air India considers investing USD100 million in Nagpur
Air India is reportedly considering investing USD100 million in its recently announced MRO facility in Nagpur.

The carrier reportedly plans to contribute engineering assets and infrastructure currently located in Mumbai. The Kerala State Government also awarded (04-Sep-06) Air India six acres of land near Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to establish a INR700 million engineering base on the land.

Meanwhile, Air India announced (03-Sep-06) it is inviting maintenance/overhaul of thrust reversers for CF6-80C2 and PW4152 engines installed on A310s and B747-300s. Tenders are due by 16-Oct-06 for the CFM engines, and 06-Oct-06 for the Pratt & Whitney engines.
