Bangalore awards fuel contract, ground services contracts pending

Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) awarded (02-Mar-06) a consortium led by Indian Oil Corporation a 20-year contract to develop the airport's fuel supply system.
Other bidders included ONGC-Total, BPCL-Shell, HPCL-Chevron and Reliance-Bechtel. The winning consortium, which will invest INR900 million in the project, consists of:
- Indian Oiltanking - a 50:50 JV between Indian Oil and the Hamburg-based Marquard & Bahls;
- Skytanking Holding, Germany.
