Thiruvananthapuram Airport opens new cargo complex

Kerala State Industrial Enterprises announced (20-Dec-05) the opening of a new INR40 million air cargo complex at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV).
The facility includes an expanded export processing area, office buildings, X-ray machines, weigh bridges and a web-based Electronic Data Interchange facility for the benefit of importers, exporters and airlines.
Meanwhile, TRV announced it expects to receive 30 more services per week with new international carriers, including Emirates, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Malaysia Airlines commencing services from Feb-06. Currently, Air India, Indian Airlines and six other airlines together operate 70 services per week. |
