Hindustan Aeronautics and Larsen and Toubro plan aircraft components JV

Both companies plan to jointly develop composites, parts, and components for aircraft, while (L&T) plans to also develop sub-assemblies for both airframe and aero-engines.

In Jul-05, HAL signed an agreement with Snecma to establish a new 50:50 JV company to produce key components and assemblies of aero-engines. The new company is based in Bangalore and would commence operations in early 2006.
