Bangalore Airport commences selecting commercial partners

BIAL, which commenced construction of the new Bangalore Airport in Devanahalli in Jul-05, stated it would shortly commence issuing tenders to select concessionaires to operate the aviation fuel facility, ground handling, cargo terminal, flight catering and aircraft maintenance services. The first tender would invite bids from international and domestic fuel companies for the aviation fuel facility, while tenders for ground handling and cargo are scheduled for Nov-05, followed by the concessions for flight catering and aircraft maintenance. The airport is scheduled to open for operations in Apr-08.
