Alpha Airports awarded duty-free shopping contract for New Delhi Airport

LONDON (AFX) - Alpha Airports Group said it has been awarded the duty-free shopping contract for Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi in joint venture with Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd.
The contract will run for three years and three months. Chief executive Peter Williams highlighted, In India, international traffic is growing at over 15 pct per annum and domestic traffic grew 28 pct last year.
Alpha and Pantaloon are also currently in discussions about the travel retailing and food and beverage opportunities at Bangalore and Hyderabad airports. |
