SpiceJet has now added (07-Apr-09) Goa to its existing network of Domestic Cargo Operations. SpiceJet is among the first airline in the Low Fare category to venture into cargo operations in May-2008.Since then it has expanded to include major cities like Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata in less than a year and now operate from 13 stations.

Announcing the launch of cargo operations from Goa, Chief Commercial Officer, Samyukth Sridharan, said, "Cargo operations have always been a great source of ancillary revenue for SpiceJet. We have exceeded our target by 8% last financial year. The addition of a 13th station to our network will definitely boost our operations and we are looking at doubling our target for this financial year.

Currently we transport major commodities like garments, auto parts, pharma, flowers, and shrimps. We are carrying an average of about 85 tons per day which we aim to increase to 110 tonnes per day in the coming months."
