Indian Airlines to launch services to Australia and China
Indian Airlines announced plans to launch services from New Delhi to Melbourne via Singapore with A330 equipment on 01-Nov-07. Frequency details were not disclosed. The carrier also plans to launch services to Guangzhou on the same date. Indian reportedly plans to connect services from Mumbai, Hyderabad, Calcutta and Bangalore to Melbourne via Singapore from Jan-08.

The airline also plans to launch five times weekly Bangalore-Male service and a second daily service to Dubai by Winter 2007. Indian has a fleet of 74 aircraft, including 48 A320s, six A319s and 11 B737s operated by its subsidiary Alliance Air. It operates over 300 services a day to 54 destinations within India and 18 internationally.
