Now in its third year, these awards honor the best in class travel destinations and other ancillary services of the tourism industry. The CNBC AWAAZ Travel Awards are the last word on travel for the consumers and the industry alike. CNBC AWAAZ Travel Awards is a definitive and path breaking initiative that sets the ultimate benchmark for travel in India. This award was based on a robust and comprehensive study conducted by India’s leading research firm, Synovate This study is India’s most exhaustive pan- India study conducted across 12 cities with over thousands of respondents voting for their choice of travel services and destinations. On winning this award, Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo, said, “To me, this award is a true recognition of how IndiGo has redefined the airline business in India. In 2007, IndiGo was voted as the Best LCC by the Airline Passengers Association of India. In 2008, IndiGo received the award of the Best LCC at the Galileo Express Travel Awards. And now in 2009, its the CNBC Awaaz awards.
