Air India hopeful of normalcy in its operations
Air India is hopeful of normalcy in its operations by tomorrow.

The Air India management while expressing its sincere apologies to the passengers for the inconvenience caused to them during the last two days, when certain flights were affected due sick reporting by executive pilots, expects the executive pilots who had reported sick to return for flight operations thus ensuring normalcy in operations.

The executive pilots of Mumbai, who had not reported sick but had expressed certain concerns on the order on PLI/flying allowance cut had a meeting with Chairman of Air India, Mr Arvind Jadhav today afternoon. The Mumbai based executive pilots will speak to their counterparts in other bases to explain the outcome of the meeting.

The meeting, which was held in a congenial environment, lasted almost four hours. During the meeting the executive pilots highlighted their concerns to the Chairman, who while taking note of them, informed the executive pilots of the difficult times the airline was going through and why it was essential to control costs. A committee comprising of Executive Director, Finance; Executive Director; Industrial Relations, General Manager Operations and representatives of executive pilots will discuss the modifications before being finalized.
