View More Jet Airways News During monitoring the data of the flight by airline, an abnormal rate of descent was detected. Further investigation by the airline revealed that the check pilot had resorted to prohibited practice of testing the skill of the pilot. The matter was then referred to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The DGCA is enquiring into the matter. Meanwhile the following actions have been taken: • As a preventive measure, instructions are being issued to all training captains including all pilots cautioning them against use of prohibited in-flight emergency simulations.
