(CAPA) Air Deccan has appointed Anand Ramachandran as VP Finance. He has been associated with the airline industry for over 10 years. He joined Jet Airways in 1996 and has worked in various areas such of finance and planning such as corporate planning, aircraft evaluation, and support services.
In his current role, he will be responsible for key areas of Strategic Planning and Finance, Management Information System (MIS) and the entire gamut of Investor Relations. He will be working closely with the senior management to introduce new process systems and the best industry practices aimed at maximizing revenues and reducing costs. Anand Ramachandran holds a Masters Degree in Management with specialization in Finance and Marketing, from Pondicherry University

The airline currently operates a brand new fleet of 19 Airbus A 320 aircraft, with an average age of 1.5 years and 24 ATR Turboprop aircraft. Since its inception in August 2003, Air Deccan has carried over 11 million passengers.
