The aircraft that was scheduled to operate this flight is currently held up at Brussels airport because local supplies of de-icing fluid have been exhausted and fresh supplies are expected to take quite a while. Consequently, the several inches of snow covering the aircraft cannot be removed and the aircraft cannot depart from Brussels. The guests who were on flight IT 007 of Sunday December 19 are currently in Brussels and will be taken by surface transport to London tonight, subject to clearance by the immigration authorities. Guests booked to fly with us on this cancelled flight may contact our call centres or their travel agent in case of any doubt. As we are experiencing high volume of calls at our call centres, guests may have to wait a little longer to get the information. We regret the inconvenience caused to our valued guests on account of the disruptions caused by the spell of severe weather. |
