(CAPA) Air India Express is to be headed by V Trivedi, the former Chairman and Managing Director of Indian and current Joint Managing Director of Air India.
The move is part of a reorganisation of positions completed after the board of parent, National Aviation Company of India Ltd (NACIL), was formally constituted. Further details of the 13 member NACIL board include:
- Chairman and Managing Director: V. Thulasidas;
- Joint Managing Director: V. Trivedi;
- Personnel Director: Anup Srivastava;
- Finance Director: S. Chandrashekhar;
- Commercial Director: V.K. Verma;
- Head of Ground Handling: Mr Punhani;
- Head of MRO: K.M. Unni;
- Government Directors: Raghu Menon and R.K. Singh;
- Independent Director: N Vaghul.
Air India and Indian Airlines were formally merged on 24-Aug-07, with NACIL planning on restructuring the merged carrier into six strategic business units, including mainline passenger operations, low cost airline, ground handling, cargo, maintenance and repair, and a secondary and associated services unit comprising IT, security and other areas.
