GoAir, which has been attempting to reinvent itself over the past six months, announced that CEO, Edgardi Badiali, has resigned from his position at the carrier. Mr Badiali joined the carrier as CEO in Jan-2008. His retirement follows the departure of CFO, G P Gupta, in Mar-2009.

GoAir is offering free tickets to children (upto 12 years) during the current summer holidays. The unique offer is valid on all children’s bookings made across the entire network of the airline. Those passengers wishing to avail this offer can book their children’s free ticket between April 14 to April 20. These tickets are available across all sales channels of GoAir.

GoAir confirmed it plans to introduce five new aircraft over the next 12 months, from its current fleet of six. The carrier also plans to add 5-6 aircraft to its fleet each year until 2012, when it expects to operate a total of 31 A320s.

GoAir has signed an agreement with Yatra Online to offer INR200 cash back on all GoAir travel bookings valid up to Apr-08. Passengers can gain this cash back offer by booking their GoAir tickets between 07-Mar-08 to 16-Mar-08.

GoAir announced its flexible fare plan, effective immediately. Under the new pricing plan, GoAir has launched a new fare package called GoFlexi Fare. The GoFlexi Fare allows a GoAir passenger to make unlimited changes in his travel itinerary without the levy of rescheduling charges.

The airline is offering a Flat Fare of INR1075 (USD27.4) for passengers flying this sector including all taxes and surcharges. The flat fare offer on the Delhi-Jaipur sector is also available on Jaipur-Delhi flights.

(c) Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation: The Hon’ble Delhi High Court has granted stay order on the verdict passed by Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (SCDRC) against GoAir to award compensation of INR15,000 (USD379) to each passenger of a cancelled flight, by a Bench comprising Hon’ble Justice Pradeep Nandrajog.
